How did you determine your "iDrive" software is a "from the factory" version? They don't want you to upgrade your components - they want you to buy a new car. The reason is that BMW stopped caring about your vehicle a long, long time ago. When I research these revisions in the forums, they appear to be original 2011 factory installed.īut when I go to BMW.com/update and enter my VIN, it says my car is up to date? With so many changes to phones in the last 10 years, how can there possibly be no updates?
I successfully updated the maps yesterday via USB from the 2011 version to 2021, but I'm not finding any update to the IDrive software Both my IDrive and Maps appear to be the 2011 "from the factory" versions. Looking at updating my "new to me" 2011 E93 M3 software.
